Brief Story :-
The Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services, Aalo was established in the year 1978 started functioning with two buses only attached with the present B.D.O Office site. Two bbuses were plying from Aalo to Likabali Vice-versa only. The Siang Transport Cooperative private services was operating smoothly at that time which was a better means of services but those services has been defunct after the introduction of the Sumo services in the state.
The present permanent Office building was constructed and inaugurated in 1992 by the Cheif Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Shri Gegong Apang on 6th April' 1992 which is located in the heart of the town, and opposite of the General Ground(District Sports Association) near the D.C Office, West Siang District, Aalo.
There are two Sub-Stations Namely Likabali Sub-Station and Basar Sub-Station functioning under STS, Aalo. At present there are 21(Twenty one) buses operating under State Transport Services, Aalo covering the following routes :-
