73rd Independence Day Celebrated with Fanfare.

Aalo 15th August: – The 73rd Independence was celebrated with much enthusiasm and fanfare at General Ground Govt. HSS School today. Shri Kento Jini, MLA Aalo East took salute from the 29 contingents representing ITBP,IRBN, APP, NCC and various other schools of Aalo town.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA highlighted various initiatives being taken up by the National and state govt. for the welfare of the people. He made special mention of Potin-Pangin Road which is being taken up on priority basis after raising the issue by him in the floor of the state Assembly. He disclosed that govt. has sanctioned Rs. 30 crore for drinking water supply to do away water crisis in Aalo town and effort is being made to tie up with govt. to drag water from direct running source to avoid recurring cost of taking water from Yomgo river. He also made it clear that central govt. is not going to interfere in the tribal rights of NE states in the line of Kashmir and people should not be swayed by the aired wave of apprehension. Many innovative measures are being taken to improve Health, education, Games and Sports, employment generation schemes and urged all to cooperate the govt. and Executing Agencies to move towards tangible development.
The Chief Guest also distributed awards and Commendation Certificates outstanding contributions, Best School Award, Academic excellence, Gold Medalists in National Arm Wrestling, Best Exhibition Stalls and Parade Contingents. The Indian Army of Aalo Military Station also took part in the exhibition to display their weapons. The students of different schools also displayed attractive cultural show on themes of patriotism on the occasion.
