International Women Day 2024 was observed at Aalo

Aalo the 8th March  2024:  The International Women Day was celebrated at Gumin Kinn Aalo with a theme ” Inspire Inclusion” organised by Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society Aalo in collaboration with National TB elimination programme Aalo led by Dr. Jumde Padu Bagra, District TB Officer(DTO). Ms Mamu Hage, IAS Deputy Commissioner of West Siang, Sri Doi Ado Ex Minister, Dr. Onima Lollen and Senior Member  APWWS and Ms Hoksum Ori graced the Occasion as Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Special Guest and Special invitees respectively.

             Smt. Marbom Riba Bagra , President APPWS Aalo welcome the Guests and presented the role of women in the society, Empowerment of Women, Gender equality etc.

            Ms Mamu Hage IAS felicitated the NI-KSHAY MITRA under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukht Bharat  to those who adopted the TB patient. She adopted two TB patient for 6months. Ms Mamu in her speech said that parenting is equally important for upbringing of the children. Equal opportunity must be given to both boys and girl children.

           She urged parent of the West Siang District not to discriminate on gender. “Women should avail the facilities provided by the government as hundred of women and girl related schemes are being Implemented by the state and central government. She got the successful inspiration from Anshu Jamsenpa a Women mountaineer of Arunachal Pradesh who scaled the Mount Everest 5 times. She urged the women of the society to work for the upliftment of the society.

       Mrs. Dongam Loya Nyodu, BDO Aalo gave the keynote address of the programme.

     Sri Doi Ado, Smt. Hoksum Ori and Dr. Onima Lollen also spoke on the occasion.

The Day long programme was attended by Womens from various tribes. Also the programme was added with Colourful Cultural items from Bokar tribe and Ngomdir Cultural team.
