West Siang District with its HQ at Aalo, bounded on the North by China, on the East by Upper Siang & Siang districts, on the South by Lower Siang & Assam and on the West by Upper Subansiri & Lower Subansiri districts of Arunachal Pradesh. The homeland of various tribes like Galo, Minyong, Bori, Bokar, Pailibo, Ramos, Memba form a natural abode for many species of orchids, diverse flora & fauna endowed with a dense vegetation, and a wide range of climatic and geographical variations, the district enjoys a moderate and comfortable climate.
