12 hrs. AASU Bandh Went on despite Declared Unlawful by DA.

Aalo 07 Nov:- The 12 hours Bandh Call given by Area students from dawn to dusk, 5 am to 5pm within Aalo township went ahead today despite declaring it unlawful by the district administration. All vehicles were off the road from busy Aalo Street and business establishments remain closed without any untoward incidents. However, all Govt. offices functioned normally.
Earlier, the district administration had a sitting with executive Members of AASU 0n 6th Nov in the office Chamber of ADC, Shri Cheechung Chukhu to appraise about the action taken by the Government and the District Administration pertaining to all the points raised by the union but the union decided to go ahead with the 12 hours Bandh call. As precautionary measures, the Addl. Deputy Commissioner-cum Addl. District Magistrate, West Siang District in pursuance of the order of Supreme Court, Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities prevention Act 2014 and in exercise of power conferred U/S 144 Cr. pc declared the said Bandh Illegal and unlawful and cautioned the bandh callers of stern action on damage to public and private properties.
The district administration and Police beefed up the security to contain any unlawful activities.
