24th Loum Bango Cuture Sports & Cultural Festival Gets Underway at Yomcha

Yomcha 21^st Nov:  The 24th Loum Bango Sports & Cultural festival got off to flying start after its inauguration by West Siang Deputy Commissioner Shri Penga Tato at General Ground Yomcha on 24^th Nov last. The six day long event will open up wide range of cultural and sports competition among villages falling under Loum Bango under ADC headquarters Yomcha.

Unfurling the Festival Flag and administering the oath to participants  as the Chief Guest, the DC lauded the effort of the Loum Bango people for hosting the meet for 24 times to hunt sports and cultural talents from the areas. Games and sports are of paramount importance today and age old culture emits distinct identity for us. He urged the GBs to keep alive the institution of GB through fair delivery of justice so that poor people do not hanker after courts to settle even petty issues and public to take up development issues in the right perspective for over all development of the area. He urged all participants to take up the six day event without with sportsmanship spirit without creating law and order problem.

Shri Gijum Tali. DIPRO who attended the Festival as Guest of Honour also spoke on values of games and sports in life inculcate values of life and maintain that beautiful age old culture that offers striking features of unity in diversity in our state. The Chairman LBS&CF cum ADC Yomcha Shri Hento Karga said that such event drawing mass participation is effort toward searching the talents in the interior areas and promote unity and oneness among the people.

The Organizing Secretary LBS&CF Shri Ligom Yomgam and Kartum Yomcha highlighted the various games, sports and cultural competition to be showcased in the six day event and expressed their gratitude to all for making the day colorful. Football for men and volleyball for women aws organized on the inaugural day.
