2nd Edition of JTMVT for Men and Women gets Underway at Keak.

Aalo 02 Nov: – The 2nd Edition of Er. Jumtum Tato Memorial Volley Ball Tournament for Men & Women at Keak village, Keak organised by Keak Youth Association in collaboration with District Olympic Association got of to a flying start today at Keak School Ground. Altogether 19 women teams and 9 men teams from West Siang, Siang, Shi- Yomi and Leppa Rada district are in the fray. In the opening match of Men’s Volley Pushi Bango Sports Club outclassed defending champion Dongin Ao Sports Club in two straight set.
Attending the tournament as the Chief Guest, Shri C. Chukhu In Charge Deputy Commissioner lauded the way the tournament is being conducted in the outskirt of the district in fond memory Er. Jumtum Tato, former Chief Engineer Power department. He stressed on taking the tournament in its true spirit to pay befitting tribute to such a noble soul. Winning and losing is part of the game and what matter most is the sportsmanship spirit. The DDSE West Siang Shri Eto Ete said that volley Ball is an affordable game without much space requirement and it should be played in all schools and villages.
The Special Guest and President WSDSU Shri Lukken Gamlin urged the students to take sports as co curricular activities and excel in to open up avenues though it. The chief Patron Shri T. Tato, Organizing Chairman Mukto Tato and President Shri Minku Tato also spoke on the life and achievement of late Jumtum Tato who died as the Chief Engineer of Power Department.
