Aalo 20th Feb:- The 36th Arunachal Statehood Day was celebrated at district headquarter Aalo with traditional fervour at Govt H.S. School Ground on 20th Feb last. Shri Babom Romin, West Siang Zilla Parishad unfurled the National flag and took salute from APP contingent.
Addressing the gathering, Romin traced the constitutional changes in its evolution to attain statehood from North Eastern Frontier Agency to a Union territory on 20th January 1972 after undergoing series of political journey from Agency Council, Pradesh Council and to Provincial Legislature in 1975. Our state is celebrating the Golden Jubilee Year of naming the state as Arunachal Pradesh. Our state is backward in comparison to other developed states of the country but Central and state govt under are doing their best to develop this strategically located state of the country.
The state government has embarked upon the development initiative in all core areas for a sustainable and balanced growth with the aim to achieve the long cherished goal of “Inclusive Growth” with commitment of “People First” approach. He appealed all officers, PRIS, NGOs, Youths, public, GBs and other section of the society to work hand in hand for the growth and development of the district and urged work agencies to complete all need based schemes in a time.
The West Siang deputy Commissioner distributed cheques to 5 SHGs under Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojna and Atma Nirbhar Bhagwani Yojana. Other Highlights of the programme were fitness show by Aalo Fitness Club, Traditional Erap by Darka Erap Party and other cultural shows and exhibition Stall.
