3rd Quarter DLMC Meet Reviews all Schemes taken up by Various Departments of West Siang

Aalo 27^th January:- The 3rd Quarterly District Level Monitoring Committee Meeting held under the Chairmanship of West Siang Deputy Commissioner Shri Penga Tato at Conference Hall of DC Office today. The meeting reviewed all schemes undertaken by the works and development departments of West Siang district.

                      The DC stressed on proper implementation of all need based schemes by state and central govt. in time bound manner as per laid down specification and guidelines. Though the Centre has given deadline for completion of all PMGSY roads up to 31st March earlier but it has been extended to July, this year. The Contractors should not be complacent in executing the works keeping in view of monsoon that is likely to set in soon and field officers of respective department should constantly monitor the quality of works on regular basis. He also lamented that inspection of the ongoing works do not give satisfactory progress of the works in many sites.

                           He asked the concerned department to look into petty local issues confronting construction works from their side from their side and they should report to concerned Administrative Officers to sort out the issues. The JJ schemes taken up by the PHED in some places need constant monitoring from the department without leaving all such works at the mercy of the contractors.  All departments gave detail power point presentations pertaining to schemes taken by their respective departments. The PRI members who attended the meeting also raised few issues on implementation of the schemes.
