69th National Wildlife Week 2023 Celebrated at Aalo

Aalo the 7th October 2023: The 69th National Wildlife Week was celebrated in GHSS Aalo by Along Forest Division in collaboration with NGO-Clean and Green Aalo today with a theme “Partnerships for Wildlife Conservation”.
The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Aalo Shri Penga Tato as Chief guest and ZPC West Siang Shri Tumpe Ete as Guest of Honour, The Commandant Army and Commandant ITBP as special guest.
Welcoming the august gathering DFO Aalo Shri Gopin Padu in speech express gratitude to Indian Army and ITBP Jawans for their support and emphasized on safeguarding wildlife and forests which plays pivotal role for human existence. He said ‘’ it is not possible for forest department alone to protect the forest resources and environment’’ and sought cooperation of all section of the society in protection of wildlife.
Chairman Clean and Green Aalo and Principal GHSS in their speech stressed on equal importance for wildlife and forests on this mother earth.
While applauding the Forest Department, the Commandant Army & Commandant ITBP informed that Aalo is blessed with nature and wildlife, and requested publics and youth to preserve it for future generation.
Expressing concern over rampant degradation of forests and wildlife the ZPC Aalo advised Forest Department to organize such more events and awareness programme in rural areas and assured his full support for protecting and preserving wildlife and forests.
The DC Aalo praised the Forest Department and Clean Green Aalo for initiating the campaign for protection of wildlife for posterity and spreading awareness regarding human-wildlife conflict. In his address he focused on Drug abuse & Drug menace and lay stressed on Sustainable Development.
An Awareness rally was carried out in the entire town, More than 400 participants including students, Govt. officials, Army and ITBP took part in the event. There were distribution of certificates and prizes for various events by the chief guest.
