Aalo 27th Jan:- The 70th Republic Day was celebrated was celebrated along with rest of the country amid gaiety st Govt H.S.School Aalo on 26th January last. The West Siang Deputy Commissioner Smti Swetika Sachan unfurled the tricolour and took salute from 30 contingents representing APP, NCC, school children and band parties.
Addressing a huge gathering, the DC spelt out various initiatives in the form of flagship programmes by central and state govt and urged people of the district to be a part of the development process as a cohesive team. The Election in the state is drawing near and she appealed all political parties and citizen to cooperate the govt. in conducting a free and fair election. Weapon and Band Display by Indian Army, Signature Campaign, Baby Show and free distribution of clothes under BBBP, Commendation Certificates, Dramas on ethical Voting, Lazim and PT display by VKV Jirdin were other highlights of the day long programme.
