Fire Engulfs Five Units of Teachers Quarters and Ministerial Staff Quarters at Kamba.

Aalo 18 Dec:- In a devastating fire incident, five units of teachers quarters and a ministerial staff quarter within the premise of Govt. H.S. School Kamba were burnt down to ashes in the intervening nights of 17th and 18th despite downpour causing heavy losses to infrastructure and personal properties of the occupants. The fire is said to be to be started from at around 11.30 pm from a katcha kitchen which falls in line with the said barrack. The Fire Extinguishers from Aalo could not reach in time to extinguish the blaze and no casualty to occupants is reported.
The MLA 27th Liromoba cum Advisor Home Shri Nyamar Karbak immediately rush to the spot at around 1.30 am and distributed blankets, mats, torches and edible items to the victims. The victims are temporarily sheltered at New RCC Girls Hostel. After personal inspection this morning, the MLA again donated Rs. 50,000 each to two occupants who lost out everything in fire and Rs. 10,000 each to two others who suffered many losses. The ADC Kamba, Shri Rujum Rakshap who also rushed to the spot has constituted a Board and is working out the immediate reliefs from the district administration side.
The DDSE Aalo Shri Eto Ete with his executive members of ATA represented by Mardo Bogo President, Lojen Kamcham Secretary also rushed to the spot and contributed Rs.50000/- and Rs.20000/ respectively to the fire victims and pleaded administration for reliefs. Kamba is a thickly populated ADC headquarter with college, Higher Secondary, many secondary schools and big villages in its vicinities and need for a Fire station very essential in this subdivision.
