DA to Locate Land for Open Air Gym under Khelo India for West Siang.

Aalo 18th Jan:- In a meeting held with various Sports wings and Committee members under the Chairmanship of West Siang Deputy Commissioner Shri Moki Loyi, it has been decided to locate a suitable land for Open Air Gym under Khelo. The meeting held today also approved two sports and Sports event and three individual sports events to hunt sports talents from the district. Addressing the occasion the Deputy Commissioner recalled those golden movements when this district was fore-runner in games and sports, culture and academic fields but over the years we see a vacuum in these arenas and department working in these field have the responsibilities to uphold the rich legacy. Though the sports activities have come to a standstill due to dismantling of General Ground Aalo and delay in its execution, effort must go on to gear up such activities despite difficulty. He said that two suitable land offered by two individuals will be surveyed soon.
The District Sports Officer Shri Tumto Loyi disclosed that a consolidated proposal and blue print will soon be submitted to govt of India for approval and sanction and urged all stakeholders to help him in this venture.
