Director WCD makes Whir wind Visits to Districts to take Stock of WCD Schemes

On 19th October: The Director Women and Child development Director Smti TP Loyi is making a whirlwind to many district to to review the status of Poshan Abhiyan and centrally sponsored WCD schemes being launched in various districts of the state.
Adressing the CDPOs, Supervisors and other field functionaries of West Siang, Leppa Rada and Lower Siang district at Conference Hall of DC office today, the Director said that around 2724 schemes pertaining to construction of toilets, drinking water facilities and maintenance of Anganwadi Centre’s are being funded by the central govt. are lying unspent requiring initiatives from the district to sent their geo-tagged report- returns on all status of schemes and asked all CDPOs to furnish them within 15 days time without fail.
She also asked all the CDPOs not to mix up the schemes taken up by the PHED under Jal Jivan Mission to avoid duplication and all data based reports on Anganwadi centre’s were sought by the department long back but many CDPOs have failed miserably to give feedbacks and prompted her to visit the districts personally to take spot interaction. Status of RRS portal/MPR and online based reporting are mandatory to know about the project and to obtain financial concurrence of all schemes.
She reiterated that training were also imparted to functionaries and officers and Supervisors are supposed to know portal uploading in this technology fed age to take maximum benefits to well equipped all Anganwadi Centre’s from the central pool of resources. She also reviewed the Poshan Abhiyan launched in various parts of the district and asked all officials to work relentlessly for the welfare of women and children.
The Deputy Director In-charge Shri Bahi Koyu spelt out the objective of the visit and extended his gratitude on behalf of all to Director for coming all the way from Itanagar to take the initiative from her side.
