Republic Day Celebrated with fanfare

Aalo 26th Jan:- The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated along with rest of the country in district headquarter and all administrative headquarters of the district with gaiety today. The West Siang Deputy Commissioner Shri Penga Tato unfurled the ceremonial flag as Chief Guest of the function.

            Addressing the gathering, he recalled the names of martyrs and architects of the Indian constitution who won freedom for us and established a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic for the people of India and appealed people of all walks of life to strive hard to contribute our best for the growth and development of the district, state and nation. He appealed the govt officers, PRIs, Intellectuals, public, GBs and Youths to come forward and work in hand to hand with govt for the growth and development of the district.

            The DC also gave certificates and medals to young sports persons of the district who earned gold, silver and Bronze Medal in the recent State Level Competition.

The inauguration of exhibition Stalls, Band display by 4 Jakli Regiment from Aalo Military Station and cultural display were other highlights of the day. Smti Tobom Nyodu Jini gave away the prizes for cultural participants.
