Aalo 03rd April:- In a major crackdown against drug peddlers, the Aalo Police on 01-04.22 arrested three persons . Moina Das alias Imo Basar S/o of Numol Das 29 yrs of Nyigam Village, PO/PS Basar District Leparada, Shri Nyape Bagra 23 yrs S/O Shri Gamnya Bagra of Takpu Village PO Bagra PS Aalo and Shri Raju Dorjee 22 yrs. S/O Lt Om Bahadur Dorjee of Talem, PO Talem PS Jonai Dist. Dhemaji Assam from Bogdo area, Aalo and siezed 8.19 gms of suspected heroin from them. Acting on a tip-off regarding presence of some drug peddlers and users in a rented house of one Raju Dorjee Alias Attu, Opposite Ngomdir Furniture, Bogdo Aalo, a Police team led by Inspr. Yomken Riram, OC PS Addl SP Aalo comprising ASI M. Doji, Ct W. Phuksa & CT O.Tali, under supervision of addl SP West Siang rushed to the spot and found on Sri Moina Das alias Imo Basar, Nyape Bagra & Raju Dorjee@ Attu inside the room. Nine used syringes and two empty plastic containers were found under a table inside the room. Upon interrogation, Nyape Bagra revealed that the contraband substances have been hidden inside the handle bar and head lamp and underneath the riders seat of a motor cycle bearing registration No-AS-04T-8535 (KTM RC 200). The said motor cycle was brought by Nyape Bagra and Moina Das@ Imo Basar from a friend at Basar to go to Namsai to smuggle drugs. On plastic pouch kept inside a green coloured shop case containing 5.1 gms of suspected heroin was recovered from the former, while two Liv -52 Containers containing 2.07 gms and 1.02 gms were recovered from the latter. On further interrogation, Nyape Bagra and Moina Das@Imo Basar revealed that on 30-03.22. The duo after taking friends motor cycle started for Namsai from Basar at 1400 hrs and reached Namsai at 0400 Hrs at Namsai. They bought drugs worth Rupees 40,000/-(Rupees forty thousand) only from one person who resided in Hawagarh area and returned Aalo at 12.30Hrs on 01.04.2022 got finally caught. A case vide Aalo PS case No.15/22u/s 27(a)/21(a)(b)/25 NDPS Act has been registered in this regard and further investigation is on. (Source Aalo Police station).
