West Siang Police Arrested a Drug Peddler

Aalo the 25^th August 2023: The West Siang District police arrested a drug peddler Rajib Hazarika, the manager of Lollen Hotel, New Market, Aalo and seized 81.77 Grams of suspected heroin..

            On dated 23.08.23 an information was received from a reliable source that One person Namely Rajib Hazarika, who is the manager of Lollen Hotel New Market Aalo has procured narcotic substances from Assam and kept in the premises of the hotel and is going to deliver it to his customer. On receiving the information, SP Aalo Sri Abhimanyu Poswal, IPS constituted police team headed by DySP Moge Bole, DSP(P) Toni Tatak, Inspector Duto Bagra OC PS Aalo, SI (P) Moli Kamdak, SI(P) Lige Doji, SI(P) Marli Ronya, H/C S.K Singh, Ct. William Dini, Ct. Kalen Tabi, Ct G.Lollen and Ct. Kirmar Lollen. Under the close supervision of SP Aalo the police team headed by DySP Moge Bole conducted search in and around the premises of the hotel.

            During the search Operation, a total of 7(seven) numbers of soap cases containing 7(seven) packets of suspected Heroin Weighing 81.77 grams were recovered and seized which were kept hidden in an unused stored located by the side of the stairs of the hotel building. Further, two mobile handset were also seized from the location. Accordingly, a case has been registered vide Aalo ps C/NO 47/23 U/S 22(b) of NDPS Act. The accused has been arrested and remanded to police custody for 5 days, SP said in a release.
