Meeting On District TB Forum held at Aalo

Aalo the 19^th October 2023: The District TB Forum meeting was convened by National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) West Siang today here at DC’s Conference Hall, Aalo. The meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Shri Penga Tato, Deputy Commissioner West Siang District. The meeting was attended by the ZPC West Siang Shri Tumpe Ete.

            Dr. Nyade Padu Bagra, District TB Officer presented the activities of NTEP and shared the challenges and solutions to move forward in line with end TB by the year 2025. She appealed the ZPC of West Siang to cooperate the NTEP for TB Mukt Panchayat activities.

            Dr. Dubom Bagra, DMO Aalo emphasized on earmarking the area where the TB patients are mostly populated area. He also ensures full support to NTEP for supervision & monitoring of the TB patient.

            DDSE West Siang also agreed to give full support to the NTEP, West Siang for awareness programme in the schools of the West Siang District.

            ZPC     West Siang also spoke during the meeting.

            DC West Siang Penga Tato said that social stigma and taboos associated with TB is also a hurdle and creating awareness on this aspect is also essential to get greater coverage under the programme. He appealed the Panchayat Leaders and HoDs to cooperate with the NTEP to eliminate the TB by the year 2025 and for TB Mukt Panchayat. He further appreciated the TB Champion for fighting the disease and being cure and wishes them for their healthy life.

            During the meeting, DC presented gift to the TB Champion and relative of TB Champion as a token of love from NTEP West Siang for successful completing their treatment.

            TB Champion applauded the NTEP Aalo for their best service delivered to the patient.

            Among others, HoDs, members of District TB Forum, TB Champion, relative of Champion and staffs of NTEP, Aalo were attended the meeting.
