Swachchata Diwas celebrated at Aalo in a Grand way

Aalo the 2nd October 2024: The culmination of Swachchata Diwas and Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated in a befitting way in Gumin Kinn here at Aalo. Ms Mamu Hage IAS, Deputy Commissioner West Siang graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The Swachchata Diwas and Gandhi Jayanti was jointly organised by the department of UD & Housing in collaboration with District Administration.

            “Swachchata hi Seva” a cleanliness campaign was kicked off on 15th Sept to 2nd October 2024. During the entire campaign many cleanliness drive was organised by Urban dept in urban areas, PHED Aalo division organised 240 events in 101 villages of West Siang in which best performing village was awarded in the entire 3 Assembly Constituencies and Block wise cleanest village was also awarded. Ngomdir, Kabu, Kato Moku and Tego Gamlin vilage were declared cleanest village of entire West Siang.

            DC Mamu Hage planted a sapling “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” along with various religious leaders. The Gumin Kinn Hall was packed with the participants. Lighting of Camp, Floral tributes to the father of nation and prathna sabha, cultural programme was organised. Religious groups of Kargu Gamgi(Galo), Choir song (Christian), Dua and Kirtan by Muslim and Hindu were participated in prathna sabha.

            Chief Guest Mamu Hage DC Aalo felicitated to  the Safai Mitras, various categories of PHED staffs, winners of Marathon race, best ward/colonies etc.

            “Waste to Art” a brain child of Mabi Taipodia Jini ADC Hq a uniques program was exhibited before the Hon’ble Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Lt. Gen K T Parnaik, PVSM,UYSM, YSM (Retd) who visited the Aalo on 25th and 26th of September 2024. A waste Plastic was collected and decorated for domestic reusable purposes.

            DC said Culmination of Swachh Hi Seva is organising in a grand way by participating all the religious groups for communal harmonies. Gandhiji’s principles are followed by all of us today. She appreciated Er, Binken Nomuk EE(PHED), Er. Halley Welly EE(UD & Housing), Shri Gopin Padu DFO, Dr Dubom Bagra DMO, Mabi Taipodia ADC Hq. and all their teams for successful conduct of the entire campaign.

            She urged the people of West Siang District to maintain cleanness in and around their environment and appeals the people to make the West Siang as”Cleanest village of Arunachal Pradesh”. “Cleanness drive to be continues as daily, Bi weekly and monthly basis” She said. Also she appeals that department and administration alone cannot do the entire cleanness drive, for this peoples responsibilities on cleanness is required.

            Voluntary Contribution by the person towards community welfare involving physical efforts is needed for clean environment.

During Mega Health camp organised by West Siang District Health Society, 1467 patients were benefitted. DC Mamu Hage IAS inaugurated the Mega Health Camp Mela. Dental team from Indian Army Siang healers, 356 field hospital of Aalo was also participated on 1st October at old Market Aalo.

Mabi Taipodia Jini ADC (Hq) thanks all the participants of entire campaigns of Swachchata Hi Seva , All the line departments, religious leaders etc for their participation. She also appeals to all the participants to continue the cleanness drive in the time to come.

             The Swachh Diwas was attended by Moge Bole DySP i/c SP, Admin Officers, HoDs, HoO’s, Village representatives, religion groups, Public etc.
