Aalo town hit by severe water crisis, all four water sources extensively damaged.

Aalo 23rd July:- Aalo town is hit by an unprecedented water crisis due to extensive damages of headwork of all water sources from Ene , Hisum, Hide rivers and Panya stream due to incessant rain in the intervening nights of 20 and 21st July last. Considering the gravity of the situation, the entire PHED dept. Led by Er. Kirba Sora, EE PHED are engaged in restoration works on war footing. Many public have also volunteered to take part in the restoration process. The department is making alternative arrangements to supply drinking water through private vehicles and it will be a tough task to cater water needs of the entire town dwellers.
Earlier, large chunk of the population did not get drinking water for nearly for a week due to disruption of head works at Ene River and PHED anyhow managed to restore the damages by using JCB in the river. The MLA Aalo East, Shri Kento Jini accompanied by EE, AEs and JEs visited the site of restoration but hardly after two days of restoration that another flood fury did all the damages to create al together a major crisis for the department and the consumers. The task look herculean as man power and machines have to place in all four sources to speed up the restoration process.
