Administration, Transport Department and Police Seal all Defaulting Sumo Counters.

The District administration led by EAC Shri Lijum Ete, District Tourism Officer Shri Hummo Taipodia and Officer In charge of Aalo Police Station sealed few of the Sumo Counters at Aalo for failing to shift their counters at a central location near previous State Transport Cooperative Services today. It may be mentioned that the counters with toilet facilities and resting places have been worked out by the district administration. The decision was taken keeping in view of the mushrooming Tata Sumo Counters here and there creating traffic congestion in the township areas.
Earlier, few rounds of meeting a detail meeting with Tata Sumo and Auto Driver’s Association was discussed in the past. The second round of sealing will continue if the order for defying the order continues. Public toilets and resting places are mandatory and requisite criteria to obtaining licenses for the passenger’s counters as per laid down rules in all town and cities.
