APSCW Conducts Legal Awareness Programme at Boleng.

Aalo 29th Oct:- The Arunachal Pradesh State Commision for Women led by its Chairperson Smti Radhilu Chai Techi conducted One day legal awareness camp for women at Boleng on 25th Oct last.
The Chairperson exhorted the womenfolk to have good grasp on various legal rights that protect and empower women to lead a comfortable life She disclosed that the whirlwind tours to various places of the state undertaken by the women Commission is a step towards infusing much needed dynamism among women folk to have knowledge on polygamy, domestic violence, women education, reservations in Panchayat and Legislative Assemblies in its quest women emancipation and empowerment. She also stressed on reformation of traditional laws and marriage system that do not give full justice to women and outlived its utility. She urged women to uphold their healthy tradition of working hard to nurture their families and know the various rights given to them today.
The other Members of the Commission, smti Techi Hunmai and Miss Hoksum Ori dwelt on role women through formation of NGOs and SHGs. Shri Adong Pertin ADC Boleng and Dy. SP shri Dilip Yosung highlighted on crime against women and POSCSO Act 2012 with power point presentation.
