APSCW Takes Legal Awareness Programme to Yomcha Subdivision

Yomcha 08 Dec:- A daylong Legal Awareness programme was conducted by APWWS Yomcha unit in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women and APWWS Aalo Unit, participated at large by Women wings from Yomcha town and various villages of Yomcha Circles, HODs, GBs, PRIs and Anganwadi workers of WCD was held at Yomcha on 7th December last.

Attending the programme, the Chairperson. APSCW Smti Radhilu Chai Techi the Commission is on move for the second time in the district to give awareness on rights and liberties of women as enshrined in Indian constitution and empowerment through various acts nad laws. Womenfolk should take such awareness programme and know their rights and privileges to march ar par with men to handle various roles entrusted to them. He also dwelt at length on  far reaching recommendations to govt, for the welfare of the women in the district.

 The MLA 27th Liromoba cum Advisor Home, Tax & Excise, Shri Nyamar Karbak  said that women should know their rights to fit themselves in grass root level of administration and give awareness among the rural women so that they too are aware of the benefits given to girl child. as various schemes and befits for women and children cannot reach to proper targets unless our womenfolk are aware of it.

Miss Hoksum Ori, Member APSCW dwelt at length on Role of Commission in tackling issues concerning the women, Smti Liyum Padu on domestic violence, Dr, Lopin Gadi, Medical Officer  on drug Abuse and alcoholism and  Advocate Jorik Bagra on Property Rights of Women in the context of Arunachal Pradesh. The ZPM and Chairperson Mothers’ Vision Smti Jumde Gamlin elaborated on parental role, growing problems among young girls and boys and role of women as mothers. APWWS President Aalo, Smti Marbom Bagra with her team was also present on the occasion.
