The Chairman APTPWDS Shri Kento Ete and Advisor Shri Doi Ado brought before the DC on key issues preying the minds of the dwellers for many years like construction of stadium which is still in the foundation stage while rest of the stadiums in other district sanctioned along with Aalo Stadium have been completed and sports and other wide range of activities are taking place there. The team of officers and APPWDS members visited the field today to take stock of the pace work there. The Legal Advisor ATPWDS, Advocate Minrik Noshi and DLR&SO disclosed that the writ petition filed in
courts by complainants were accepted only for enhancement of compensation and no one can stop construction of works in highway for compensation claims to attract twin problems of contempt of Court and police action. The DC assured to take up the matter pertaining to his powers immediately and liaise with construction agency and many visits have been made to expedite the work at speedier pace. The members also decided to have a sitting with Minister and MLAs of the district for such burning issues. The Sumo Counters at Market Places have been shifted to designated location and upper Market Counters are being persuaded to shift soon or face legal action. The meat Shed in the heart of the town is also being shifted to a designated location very soon, he said.
