ATPWDS for Complete Ban on Untraditional Way of Fishing

Aalo 11th Feb: – The Aalo town Peoples’ Welfare and development society led by its Chairman Shri Kento Ete, Ex. Minister met Siang Deputy Commissioner Shri Atul Tayeng and threadbare discussion on ban on untraditional way of fishing in the rivers of the neighboring district on 10th Feb last.

Shri Ete disclosed that West Siang administration has banned any kind of untraditional way of fishing within the rivers and tributaries for the past few years on repeated appeal by the ATPWDS. He pleaded that Siang counterpart shares river boundaries with West Siang in many places and the ban will be more meaningful if such restriction too are imposed there too to save rich verities of aquatic lives to breed as wanton fishing has led to demising population of the fishes we saw in the past.

The Siang Shri Atul Tayeng DC, ADC Rumgong, EAC Kaying and Pangin promptly responded the appeal put forth by the ATPWDS team and assured to bring out orders banning all kinds of untraditional ways of fishing in their respective jurisdictions. The ATPWDS have sent a delegation to appeal the legislators of the of West Siang and neighboring district connected with General Hospital Aalo to look into defective solar battery of the Blood Bank Aalo so that needy people do not suffer for want of blood and evacuated to far off places.
