Awareness Camp on Good Touch and Bad Touch held

Aalo the 22^nd July 2024:  The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), West Siang District, Aalo, Department of WCD, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh has organized Awareness Programme on GOOD TOUCH AND BAD TOUCH at Kidzee Mach School, Aalo on 22^nd July, 2024. The programme also covered Child Rights & Child Protection, Child Marriage, Child Trafficking and POCSO Act, 2012.

            Advocate Marphy Ete, resource person of the Programme, who is also a member of JJB, West Siang District, Aalo threw light on POCSO Act, 2012 why it was enacted, the different offences which comes under the POCSO Act and the punishment for those offences, relief available to child victims of sexual offences and explain sexual assault and harassment.

Smt. Mongam Nomuk, Counselor (DCPU) elucidated the students about what is Good Touch and what Bad Touch is and guided the students what step should be taken by them at the situation when someone touching with mala fide intent: to directly deny and say “NO” to it and tell it to parents, elders and teachers.

Principal of Kidzee Mach School, Aalo spoke a few lines of increasing crime and role of students to avoid being victim of it by being alert at every step.

The programme was attended by all the students and teaching staff including non – teaching staff of the school.
