Awareness Campaign on Social Drawbacks and Vices at Ruyi Village

Aalo the 29th July:- A Day long Awareness campaign on various prevailing social drawbacks and vices was organised by Mother Vision on an invitation by the people of Ruyi village under Kamba Circle on 28th July last.

Attending the function Shri Tamo Koyu, ADC Kamba and Dr. Rejir Karlo, Principal Donyi Polo College Kamki stressed on the need to organise such awareness campaign on cleanliness, drugs and alcoholism rampant among the younger generation today. The Resource Persons Shri Kennedy Bagra dwelt at length on Drug- its uses, misuses and abuses and way to rehabilitate the addicts. Representative from UD& Housig Shri Gumli Bagraand police elaborated on bio-waste management, public cooperation and NPDS.

The Chairperson Mother’s Vision Smti Jumde Yomgam Gamlin spelt out the activities of the NGO in launching awareness on drug and counselling in the Rehabilitation camp at Aalo. She disclosed thatvicious awareness campaigns will be launched in various schools of the district and sought the cooperation of all section of the people to make it a people’s moment to free youths from scourage of growing drug abuse. The Women wings from various sectors of Kamba, President of Ruyi Village and GBS also pointed out burning issues like construction of toilets along the river side, opening of shops late night, sale of liquor in the Ghumtis and sale of diesel petrol in open market and various other issues in the town.
