Awareness programme on Elimination of gender base violence conducted.

Aalo the 07^th December 2023: The Department of Women and Child Development, West Siang District, Aalo conducted programme with regard to Elimination of gender based violence and raising awareness about the right and entitlement of Women and Girls as part of “Nayi Chetna 2.0 here at Aalo on 7th December 2023.

            Programme starts with welcome address from Smt. Yabi Riba Ete i/c Deputy Director (ICDS), Aalo.

            Smt. Liyum Padu, Centre Administrator (OCS), West Siang District, Aalo Resource person of the Programme gave orientation on Domestic Violence Act, 2005, Prevention of Sexual Harassment at workplace Act,2013, Domestic Incident Report (One Stop Centre), Emergency Response System(112) and Women Helpline, Establishing linkage between Gender Resource Centre.

            Shri Dege Kamki, Protection Officer (DCPU) impart awareness on Prevention of Children from Sexual Offence Act 2012 and special rights under CrPC with victim Compensation etc, Prohibition Child Marriage Act, 2006 and Child line(1098).

Shri Dagbom Riba, District Coordinator (MSK) speaks on Hub for  Empowerment, Shakti Shadan, Sakhi Niwas.

            Smt. Marbom Riba Bagra, President, APWWS, West Siang District, Aalo speaks about the women rights in work place.

There were around 60 members participated in the programme from NGO, APWWS, Supervisor, Gram Sevika, AWWs from ICDS Project, West Siang District, Aalo
