Boken Ete Laid to Rest amid tearful mourning at his Aalo Residence.

Aalo12 Jan.:- Boken Ete, legendary grand old man and architect of West Siang was laid to rest amid thousands of tearful mourners from family members, relatives and well wishers from west Siang and different parts of the state at his Aalo residence on 10th Jan last. The Galo Welfare Society, West Siang Unit made elaborate arrangement to carry his mortal remain on procession to his native village Bene where he grew up, RK Mission which he founded single handedly and different other locations for paying last homage to the great soul. The Market and business establishment remained closed on 11th January as a mark of mourning and respect to the departed soul.
Shri Kento Ete, Ex. Minister and second son of late Boken Ete read out the contributions of late Ete in detail and grandson of late Ete read out the condolence messages pouring in from the State Governor, State Chief Minister, Dy. Chief Minister, President of Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Ministers and MLAs of the state. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Nyage Loya, Secretary GWS hailed late Ete as the father of Galo society and hailed his demise as end of an vibrant era and wreathed Galo flag on his mortal remain. Representatives from various organizations, unions, societies, NGOs etc. also paid their floral tributes to the noble soul.
