Chief Electoral Officer conduct meeting of polling preparedness

Aalo the 4^th March  2024:  Chief Electoral Officer of Arunachal Pradesh Shri Pawan Kumar Sain conducts the meeting with DC cum DEO, SP, Sector Officers and District Nodal Officers of West Siang District for upcoming simultaneous election 2024 in the state.

        On arriving at Aalo, CEO along with DEO cum Deputy Commissioner of West Siang Ms Mamu Hage, IAS and SP Sri Abimanyu Poswal, IPS visited the Strong room, Counting Hall and satisfied with the preparation.

         Later on, He attended the meeting of Poll preparedness for ensuing simultaneous election. As West Siang has 106 polling stations, He briefed about the role and responsibilities of all the Nodal Officers.

        “Role of Sector Officers is important during and before polling day”, he said. He urged the DEO to impart the election training of all the Sector Officers, Nodal Officers and officials for smooth conduct of the upcoming General Election and state assembly election. Also he informed to constitute transport committee under the chairmanship of DC for hiring the vehicle preparation estimate. The Nodal Officer for observer is to conduct the meeting with all other Nodal Officer of observer of other Arunachal West Parliamentary Constituency for smooth communication for observer of West Parliamentary Constituency, he said.

       He also informed the HoD’s and HoO’s to ensure that no officials and officers to take part in any political activities. If anybody involved in unfair activities the action will be initiated as per ECI guidelines.

     All the polling stations must have good conditions and Sector Officers have to ensure it and all the Sector Officers to keep in touch with Sector Officers of  Police. SVEEP activities to be conduct in entire District of West Siang. All the arms license holders of West Siang to deposit their arms in due time otherwise their Arms Licenses will be cancelled as informed by Chief Electoral Officer.

               By observing the poll preparedness of West Siang team headed by DC cum DEO Mamu Hage. He was impressed, satisfied and encouraged the Officers and Officials those who are appointed for election duty to performed his/her election duty error free.

             The meeting was attended by DC, SP, ADC’s, EAC’s, CO’s, All Nodal Officers and Sector Officers of West Siang District.
