Civil Supply Department covers 5252 Families, 32933 individuals under PMGKAY, PMUY.

The Civil Supply department entrusted to look into the needs of BPL and AAY families during the lockdown period have distributed 1kg pulse to 5252 BPL and AAY families, 5 kg free rice to 32,933 PHH/AAY individuals under PMGKAY, free LPG to 452 BPL families under PMUY and distributed financial support of Rs. 1000 to 6000 BPL families. The West Siang DF&CSO Shri Rebom Nyuso Lendo disclosed that the pace of the distribution could not be quickened up in the initial stage as the department was overburdened to look into the ration and LPG needs of the entire district in the first phase of the lockdown period.The department was entrusted to distribute rations, LPG and other essential commodities from the FPS for Shi-Yomi district,
administrative outposts, villages, sectors and colonies of Aalo town. The central and state government incentives and will reach all targeted BPL groups soon, he said. The department did their best to face the tough situation to control crowd and panic situation they had to encounter in the first phase of lockdown. The consumers did no face any shortage of ration and LPG shortage during the entire lockdown period due to effective system of distribution through innovative measures.
