Covid-19 Vaccine for Children From age Group of 15-18 Launched

The Deputy Commissioner urged all the beneficiaries to take vaccine without any hesitation as it is tested, safe and gives protection from COVID-19 disease. The positive cases are growing rapidly and appealed all to take all precaution measures and COVID-19 appropriate behavior as we did in the past to keep the disease at bay. Dr. Dubom Bagra, DMO, Aalo informed the gathering about the COVID-19 Vaccines and its doses of both COVAXIN and COVISHEILD. He also informed that booster dose (3rd dose- COVISHEILD) vaccine for all the Health Care Workers (HCWs), FLWs, 60 & above years and co-morbidities will be started from 10th January 2022.
The Vaccination session for both COVAXIN and COVISHIEILD will be held at all the Health Facilities of West Siang District as per the availability of vaccine received from the State. Children in the age group of 15- 18 years need to bring their Student’s ID card or Aadhaar card or Pan card and Mobile Number for registration during vaccination. The daughter of Commander 5 Mountain Brigade took the first vaccine on the day as source of inspiration to other children of the district.
