DC Inaugurates month long NADCP at Rigo Village.

Aalo 15 Oct:- The West Siang Deputy Commissioner Shri Moki Loyi inaugurated the month long National Flagship Programme of National Animal Disease Control at Rigo village amid fanfare today. The programme that kicks starts today will end up in the month of December 16th.
Addressing the gathering, the DC exhorted the department to implement in letter and spirit maintaining Covid-19 SOP as people-centric development cannot be halted in the name of pandemic. The district administration will issue circulars to all GBs of the district to assist the development agencies for such works and Geo-tagging works which are said to be delayed due to restrictions of entry by the villagers in some places. The DC said that Malaria and other diseases have been eradicated from such Flagship Programmes and peoples; concern here is FMD among mithuns and cows and department should be in a position to wipe of the disease through such programme too. He also insisted on imbibing dairy farming among the farmers and assured to distribute sanitizers and masks free of cost to villages soon.

The District Veterinary Officer, Dr. Nyato Nyodu, Nodal Officer Dr. Sidik Raksap and Senior Vetenary Officer Dr. Yika Angu dwelt at length on the importance of the programme urged all to cooperate the department in launching the programme as per the directive of govt. and complete it by 16th of December. The department will provide vaccine on most common FMD, ear tagging, issue of Animal Health Card and registration to evolve a detail information network for Animal Productivity and Health.

The HGB, GBs and Village Committees were also present on the occasion to share their views.
