DC Launches Covid-19 Vaccine at Aalo General Hospital.

Aalo 8th Jan:- The Covid-19 vaccine was launched along with rest of the country by West Siang Deputy Commissioner Shri Moki Loyi at General Hospital premises amid cheer and applause on 16th August last. The Programme was launched just after Live telecast National Level launching of COVID-19 Vaccine by Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India through LED TV and LCD Projector screened at GH, Aalo in presence of Officers, Specialists, Doctors, Nursing Staffs, Para-Medical Staffs, MTS of GH, Aalo and Official 356 Army Field Hospital, Along.
Addressing the occasion the Deputy Commissioner said that we were not equipped to fight against this dreaded disease for nearly a year in the absence of medicine and vaccine. A vicious campaign has to be launched to administer these two doses of Covid-19 vaccine on priority basis to health and frontline workers and to other beneficiaries. He appreciated the Medical Team, frontline health workers and civil society for working together hand in hand to fight the disease. Dr. Moli Riba, DMO West Siang District dwelt at length on covid vaccine and disclosed that it
has no side effects and rumors may do the round before and after administration and to do away the notion the DMO, DRCHO,DSO, DFWO, DPM and other doctors to the first dose followed by many health Care Workers. Armed Forces, Police Personnel and all people above 50 years of age and co-morbidity will be vaccinated on 2nd phase. Dr. K. Jopir Med. Supdt. GH Aalo, Dr. Tomar Kamki District Immunization Officer (DIO) Cum DFWO, Shri Yomto Lollen DPM also spoke on the vaccine.
Altogether, 79 out of targeted 100 Health Care Workers were vaccinated and 10 (Ten) Vials of COVID-19 Vaccine were used. Next vaccination session will be held at all the Vaccination Site of West
Siang District as per the Micro plan submitted to the State and GH, Aalo will continue their vaccination from 18th Jan 2021 till all the registered beneficiaries under the GH, Aalo will completed
their vaccination or as per the availability of vaccine received from the State.
