District Disaster Management Authority conducted meeting.

Aalo the 7th May 2024: The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) convened the first meeting under the chairmanship of Ms Mabi Taipodia Jini, ADC i/c DC West Siang at DC’s Conference Hall.  Sri Dorjee Nima DDMO West Siang highlighted the how to get prepared for the upcoming monsoon 2024. He said, As Monsoon is the seasonal occurrence thorough rainy phase or dry phase. This year National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) warned the probability of occurrence of heat wave. He urged all the line departments to get prepared to mitigate any eventuality during monsoon.

            For Aalo Township, the DDMA West Siang identified Govt. Hr. Sec School ground as safe location in case of natural calamities. Health department, Power, PHED, WRD, etc is ready to mitigate any eventuality as informed by Concern HoD’s.

            Mabi Taipodia ADC cum Chairman urged all the DDMA members to proactive during the Monsoon season. She also urged the public’s of West Siang District to inform any damages caused by natural calamities during monsoon. She also request the public’s of Aalo township not to venturing near rivers and streams, to keep away from land slide prone zone, keep sufficient food items, medicines, first Aid kit etc during Monsoon.
