District Level Training with Stakeholders on COVID-19 Conducted.

Aalo March 18:- A District Level Training with all stakeholders participated by district administration, police ,Army, ITBP, Medical Officers and ANMs from various PHCs and CHCs was held under the Chairmanship of West Saing Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan at Conference Hall of DC Office Aalo today. Addressing the gathering the DC said that Covid-19 has been declared endemic by the WHO and disease is fast invading the whole world and utmost precautions have to be taken to check spread of this in our area. All stakeholders involved to give trainings and launch awareness on this dreaded disease should do it in a working footing manner in nook and corner of the district where our people are too ignorant about it. She stressed on movement of men and social distancing to avoid this disease and all suspected people should voluntarily come up for screening. Highlighting the various objectives and global, national and state level status on Epidemiology of COVID-19 through power point presentation, he stressed on knowledge gaps, important skills, strategic approach, community transmission, interventions, approaches, contact tracing, infection prevention and control etc in detail. Dr. J.Kato DSO dwelt at length on Clinical Case Management and Laboratory Surveillance, Dr. Linya Lollen Medical Superintendent on Infection, Prevention and Bio- medical Waste Management and Shri A. Pujen, Epidemiologist elaborated on Cluster Containment strategy and Risk Communication and Community Engagement. Demonstration on donning and doffing of PPE and group discussion on key issues on the prevention of this disease was taken up and pamphlets on Do and Don’ts were also distributed to all participants for awareness purpose.
