District Task Force conducted rescue operation in West Siang District

Aalo the 1st July 2024:  The District Task Force for the Rescue of Child Labour conducted an operation from the 25^th to 28^th of June 2024 in collaboration with the DCPU Aalo unit, led by the Legal cum Probation Officer Shri Mijum Doke with full cooperation from the West Siang Police quick response from Shri Moge Bole DySP Aalo .

            The Operation was carried out under the guidance of Shri Koj Tacho EAC cum Nodal Officer and Smty Yabi Riba Ete DCPO Aalo.

            During the operation a total of 18 children/Adolescents were found to be involved in hazardous employment. Out of these, 4 children were handed over to their parents/Family members. All 18 cases have been registered.

            Legal cum Probation Officer Shri Mijum Doke appealed the citizen to enroll their children below 14 years of age in school. He also advised the employers of child age above 14 to 18 years to provide all basic necessities to its employees as per the guidelines of the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act. He warned the employer that the violation of Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation ) Act and constitutional Law shall be punishable under the Act.
