DLSA Conducts Legal Awareness Programme

Aalo 10th November:  Along with the rest of the India, Office of the Legal Aid Clinic at the premises of Additional District & Sessions Court-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Upper Subansiri District, Camp: Basar, A.P has conducted legal awareness programme as a part of “Pan India Awareness & Outreach Campaign from 2nd October’2021 to 14th November’2021” to celebrate “AZAADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV” in commemoration of 75th years of India’s independence and Legal Services Week across the country on the occasion of Legal Services Day on 09th November’2021 at Govt. Model College, Basar, Leparada District, A.P.

Shri Tage Halley, AD&SJ cum Chairman, DLSA, U/Subansiri District, Camp: Basar dwelt On Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987.,. Gopi Dirchi, Centre Administrator, One Stop Centre, Department of Women & Child Development explained the role of One Stop Centre, Mr. Murtuza Ansari, Advt. cum Retainer Lawyer Legal Aid Clinic Basar­­ laid stresses on  Legal Volunteer Programme, Victim Compensation Scheme, 2011, NDPS Act 1985 and Insp. Tailyang Buker, OC, PS, Basar elaborated on FIR till the filing of the police report and Cyber law.

Besides, exhibitions on the physical infrastructure of judiciary at Basar, Leparada District, A.P, hierarchy of courts in India, hierarchy of judicial officers/judges in India in pictorial form and percentage of case disposal per year recorded in the Court of Additional District & Sessions Judge, Basar from 2017 to 2020 in a pie diagram have also been showcased/exhibited on the occasion for information and benefit of participants including college students and teaching faculty members of above mentioned Govt. Model College, Basar numbering 107 (41 female and 66 male) in total.
