Doctor Initiates Weather Proof Social Distancing Shed At SBI Entry Point .

Aalo 11 May: – Tired of regulating the restless SBI Bank Customers on daily basis and on being asked by the district administration to regulate it through an innovative method, Dr. Jumge Padu, a frontline Covid-19 warrior responded promptly to erect a weather proof social distancing Shed putting around 53 umbrellas in front of SBI Aalo with the help of Kibom Old Age Welfare Society in collaboration with M/S International Diagnostic Centre Aalo on 10th May last. This service is purely rendered on voluntary basis as a part of participation in this pandemic Covid-19 that is eating into the vitals of humanity.
The West Siang Deputy Commissioner Smti Swetika Sachan also visited the site and appreciated the effort of the society for such creative venture. The shed not only gives helps in maintaining the social distancing with compulsory wearing of masks in this crowded place right from the early morning but gives comforts to the people in hot sun and rain as well. The Shed is totally regulated by volunteers of the society and separate entry and exits for male and female. Dr. Padu said that prevention is always better than cure we cannot be complacent on being given relaxations and placed in green zone and precaution is all the more important after inter-district traffic and men flow. If the virus engulfs, the warriors have wage a more difficult war here.
Dr. Padu is also instrumental in imparting training on hand stitched masks to various Self Help Groups in different villages to mitigate Mask for all Campaign by the APDA. Dr. Jumge Padu is at present posted as Medical Officer Yomcha PHC and currently attached at Aalo General Hospital to work for Covid-19. He is held in high esteem by the people of the Yomcha administrative subdivision for his care in health delivery services, honorary jobs like teaching science to students in leisure hours, promoting the budding badminton players and wide range of other social services in promoting culture and festivals.
