Efforts on Work out Agriculture/Horticulture Farm Cluster in each Constituency.

Aalo 25:- The District Empowered Committee constituted by Chairman cum Deputy Commissioner West Siang district, Shri Jiken Bomjen Project Director DRDA, DHO Shri Kirmar Lona and DDA Shri Margi Ete, District Planning Officer Shri Marjum Karga and BDOs are on visiting spree to locate feasible land for starting Agriculture and Horticulture land for cluster farming in each Assembly constituency of the district. This is in response to the govt. directive and vision of achieving self-sufficiency in availability of nutritious food throughout the state.
The scheme focuses on developing backyard garden by individual beneficiaries, cluster wise participatory rural appraisal, well demarcated land and commercial viability. The Committee will select such lands for govt. funding for land development, seeds, organic manure from non wage component of MGNREGA and fencing, farm equipments at custom Hire Canters from XVth Finance Commission.
