Gamlin Inaugurates Nehru Yuva Kendra Office Building

Aalo 16th July:- The Nehru Yuva Kendra Office Building constructed by WRD under SIDF for Aalo East was inaugurated amid cheer and applause by Shri Jarkar Gamlin, Minister Tax & Excise, Tourism and Cultural Affairs today.

Shri Gamlin disclosed that the fund has been made available under SIDF safeguard the land located in the heart of the town after the collapse of the old office building so that the office continue to serve as platform for the youths of the district to carry out vitas if activities like dissemination of govt. policy and programme, Swacchh Bharat Abhiyan, Drug addiction and other nation building activities. The Minister expressed his concern about growing drug menace in the society and appealed administration, police, civil society and youth force to come together to root out this evil from the society saying that drug pedlars have to be nabbed first and given exemplary punishments. He also asked the DC to look into the allotment case of the Kendra and urged Youth to make best use of the office and play constructive and visible works for the society.

West Siang Deputy Commissioner Smti Swetika Sachan said that future of the nation rest in the strong shoulders of the youth and exhorted them to play pivotal role to tap academic, sports, singing and other talents from the rural areas to link them with national mainstream. Shri Olom Talom, In Charge Youth Coordinator disclosed that the Kendra could not take up much activities for the last five years due to non existence of office building and assured to gear up activities now from the office as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. He sought cooperation of all to launch activities to channelize and give proper direction to the present ady youths.

Shri Gumsen Lollen, President, YCF and Miss Marbi Doji, NYV also appealed the Minister to write govt. of India for appointment of Shri Olom Talom as the youth Coordinator of the district after construction of the building to gear up activities under him as he has been associated with the Sangh for a long period of time. At present 80 youth Clubs are registered, 137 Youth clubs, 29 No of Maila Mandals , 29 No. of Sports Clubs affiliated, 06 No. of Sports Clubs are affiliated and 193. No of villages/Youth clubs are activated to NYK.
