Karbak Inaugurates Eco-Tourism cum Angling Festival at Darak.

Aalo 24thOct: – The much awaited Eco- Tourism cum Angling Festival got off to a festive start after its inauguration by Shri Nyamar Karbak, MLA 27th Liromoba at confluence of Sii and Sibu River on 23rd October last. The MLA also made an inaugural catch of a Mahseer, a costly, rare and endangered fish which is found abundantly in the rivers of Darak.
Shri Karbak disclosed that the maiden festival is a step towards conservation of aquatic life for promoting tourism in this unexplored part of the state for rural employment generation and to raise economy of the people through tourism. He assured to make it an Annual Event of the circle. The Annual Sports Carnival in his constituency is also a step towards spotting hidden talents and employment through sports. He disclosed that power generation is also done from Siru Tali Hydel for the first time through Hydropower department after setting up division of the Hydropower Division-I for the first time will look into its proper functioning and he appealed everyone to shed differences come together to development fronts.
Attending the festival as Guest of Honour, Shri Abu Tayeng Director Tourism, General Manager State Transport and Disaster Management said that an amount of Rs. 20 lakhs has been earmarked to celebrate it and assured more organized festival of its kind in near future. He also assured plying of a Xylo vehicle from Liromoba to Aalo via Yomcha. Highlighting on Orange Festival at little known small place like Dambuk, he said that place is famous now and there is three times leaps in the economy of people through such yearly festival, The President of Arunachal Pradesh Tourist Operators’ Association Shri John Paye, Shri Bengia Tayu President Arunachal Anglers’ Forum and Yomjum Yomgam Chairman Young Mission Adventure Club dwelt at length on tourism promotion, angling in Arunachal and employment generation through tourism.
The Circle Officer Darak, Smti Jumyir Ronya Kato, Organizing Chairman of the Festival Shri Nyakar Raksap and President Lodu Ao Welfare Society expressed their gratitude to one and all for making the event a successful one.
