Kerang UPS Celebrates its Golden Jubilee Year.

Aalo 15th Jan.:- The Kerang Upper Primary School celebrated its Golden Jubilee year of the school amid cheer and applause at its school ground today.
Attending the occasion as the Chief Guest, Education Minister Shri Taba Tedir lauded the teachers, public and students of yesteryears who were instrumental in shaping the school and said that teachers in govt. schools are more trained than private schools and brought good results in the past. Close scrutiny reveals that poor performances by students in CBSE today are largely the fault of the students, parents, teachers and SMC and fate of the schools hang around public, SMC and GBs to make or mar it. Many of the schools in the state are defunct and govt is contemplating decisions on such schools and funding 3500 plus schools in the state too is difficult. He lauded the efforts of adopting schools by the alumni in East Siang. He also disclosed that meritorious persons will only be recruited by the govt. for teachers now and govt. has also evolved a new online transfer and posting policy for the teachers. He also inaugurated the school gate donated by alumni Dr. Taking Gammi, Sr. VO and school extended building on the occasion. Earlier the Minister also inaugurated Yipe school building at Kaying village and MDM Shed at H.S.S Kaying.
Replying to three point memorandums submitted by the Chairman KUPGJC Predident Shri Karmur Jerang pertaining to up gradation of UPS Kerang to Secondary School, Fencing around the school and construction of teacher quarter at Primary School of Kerang, the Minister assured to incorporate in the budget of education. The Guest of Honour and MLA 32 Rumgong, Shri Talem Taboh and Special Guest Shri Tapi Gao, Director Elementary Education exhorted the students to strive hard in life and public to cooperate the school authority to grow further. The Siang Depty Commissioner Shri Rajeev Takuk, SP and other HODs were also present on the occasion.
