Legal Service Mega Camp Held

On 14th Nov:- Legal Services Mega Camp –cum- Exhibitionat Gumin Kiin Hall, Aalo on 13th November’ 2021 under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) as a part of PAN India Legal Awareness and Outreach Campaign which has been launched from 02nd October’ 2021 to 14th November’ 2021 on the occasion of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebrating the 75 Years of India’s Independence and 25th Anniversay of Legal service Day (09/11/2021).                                                                                          

The Legal Services Mega Camp –cum- Exhibition was visited by a large number of people including the Deputy Commissioner of West Siang District, Shri Penga Tato as the Chief Guest who also inaugurated the said programme, Shri Minrik Nochi, President of West Siang district Bar Association was present as the Guest of Honour, the Hon’ble District and Sessions Judge –cum- Chairman of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Aalo at Aalo on 13th Nov last.

, Shri Gote Mega  Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.) –cum- Secretary of DLSA, Aalo, Shri Habung Tangu were also present. The Chairman, DLSA, West Siang District, Shri Gote Mega in his keynote address briefed the mass about the District Legal Service Authority and its various schemes, the public present in the programme were also addressed by the Chief guest, Shri Penga Tato, the Deputy Commissioner of West Siang District and the Guest of Honour, Shri Minrik Nochi, President of West Siang district Bar Association. Among other invitees were included the Head Gaon buras, the Gram Panchayat Chairpersons, Gaon Buras and Gaon Buris of all the nearby villages under West Siang District, the President and the Chairman of various NGOs, Unions and Associations under the district and the students from various educational institutes.

During the Legal Services Mega Camp –cum- Exhibition, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Aalo, West Siang District presented the exhibition mainly on the concept of (1) 75 Years History of Justice Administration, (2) Process of Justice Delivery, (3) Achievements of Justice Delivery System in last 75 years and (4) Legal Aid System all over India. The exhibition on the said concepts were presented using different modes, like (a) pictorial representation, showing hierarchy of courts and the Judicial officers in India, contribution and infrastructural development of courts and various Free Legal Services activities conducted by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Aalo, West Siang District, (b) short documentary, showing functioning of court and moot court, (c) graphical representations, showing disposal of cases in the district, Relief granted to the victims under Arunachal Pradesh Victim compensation Scheme.

          Various other departments under the West Siang district like RWD, PWD, PHED, Hydro Power, WRD, Urban Development, Power, Textile and Handicrafts, Industry, Agriculture, Horticulture etc also participated in the Legal Services Mega Camp –cum- Exhibition and enjoyed the opportunity to showcase various materials from their respective departments.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate –cum- Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.) –cum- Secretary of DLSA, Aalo, Shri Habung Tangu expressed his thanks to all the dignitaries, participants and invitees present in the programme. 

Pamphlets and brochures on various Acts, Central and State Schemes and on various other Legal Awareness subjects were also distributed by the DLSA, Aalo, to the public present during the Legal Services Mega Camp –cum- Exhibition.
