MOS Attends Golden Jubilee Celebration of UPS Angu.

Aalo 11th Nov:- The Upper Primary School Angu, nestled beautifully in the midst of natural surrounding and credit of bringing many luminaries serving the state govt. celebrated its Golden Jubilee year with fanfare and pomp today.
Attending the occasion as the Chief Guest, Shri Kiren Rijiju said 50 years of arduous journey of a school with humble beginning from thatched house in 1969 as temple of learning to bring many luminaries for the state is always a historic occasion to rejoice and complemented teachers of yesteryears and the alumni of the school for their immense contribution for the growth of the school. He lauded the first teacher of the school Shri Rabindra Nath Roy who also could attend the momentous occasion The MOS also inaugurated the newly constructed school building and unveiled a Souvenir to mark the occasion. He disclosed that talented students from govt. schools and colleges so far have fared better in all competitive examinations and instrumental in bringing out complete human beings and more thrust and focus is needed to keep the glory.
Speaking on development front, he said that state- Centre coordination on funding of schemes is going well this time and problem and crisis lies in its implementation. All schemes that required sanctioned from the central govt. have to be routed through District Development Committee as per streamlined guidelines. He stressed on maintaining the beauty or traditional houses from tourism perspective and dwelt at length on Highway, rural link roads are connecting the villages of the states and assured to look into memorandum pertaining to construction of Mini Stadium at school for Pushi Bango people, link road at Doke, construction of 25 beded hostel for boys and girls coming from far off villages and construction of multipurpose community dere at Angu village.
The Minister Education Shri Taba Tedir spelt out Govt policy on education and urged the alumni of different schools to adopt their Alma Maters to infuse dynamism in their functioning. The Minister also inaugurated the newly developed playground of the school. Er. Tumke Bagra Minister Industry, Textile & Handicrafts disclosed that the Govt. is funding organic pineapple cultivation in 5 hectares of land and urged farmers to come up to avail the facility. The MLA Aalo East Shri Kento Jini and Basar MLA Shri Gokar Basar also stressed on the need to give more stress on govt. schools and appreciated the land donors of the school.
The Organizing Chairman and Secretary of the Golden Jubilee Celebration Shri Gokar Angu and Gomar Angu narrated the brief history on growth and development of the school and expressed their gratitude to for making the historic moment a successful one.
