Officers from Ministry of Tourism GOI Visits Kabu Village

Aalo 01thDec. The officers from Minisitry of Tourism Govt of India consisiting of Ms. Meenakshi Mehta, Joint Director General, Ms. Bharati Sharma Asst. Director General, Shri Rangarajan parthasarthy Assistant Director General accompanied by Ms. Sadhana Deori, Secretary DOT and Shri Oken Tayeng Director Aborcountry Travel & Expeditions visited Kabu village in West Siang District, East Siang and Shi-Yomi district from 27th to 30th Nov last.
The team interacted with villagers of kabu village on various issues like culture, food habits, village economy, life styles and took part in the preparation of local beer. They were quite appreciative of the simple tribal life, sense of cleanliness around the village and means of sustenance despite absence of big avenues for employments and sustenance in this remote location of the country. These places are beautiful and have rich potential in the days to come from tourist perspective, they said.
