Republic Day celebrated with fanfare.

Aalo 26th Jan: – The 71st Republic Day was celebrated along with rest of the country in district headquarter and all administrative headquarters of the district with gaiety today. The West Siang Deputy Commissioner Smti Swetika Sachan unfurled the ceremonial flag and took salute from 30 contingencies representing ITBP, APP, IRBN, band parties and school students of different from different schools of Aalo town as Chief Guest on 26th January last.
Addressing a mammoth gathering, Smti Sachan recalled the names of martyrs and architects of the Indian constitution who won freedom for us and established a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic for the people of India and appealed people of all walks of life to strive hard to contribute our best for the growth and development of the nation. She said that Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao is is the main focus and theme of the day and dwelt on promotion on conservation and cleanliness along the riverside through the festival. The DC, SP and Additional Session Judge gave away the Commendation Certificates, Best Exhibition Stalls, parade contigents and Baby shoe conducted by ICDS Aalo as part of Beti Bachao aur Beti Padhao.
The Indian army of Aalo also took part in band and weapon display on the occasion. Textile and Handicrafts and Horticulture came first and second in exhibition Stall whereas SFS Boys came first and Town Middle School Girls came second in Parade.
