Taken Pakam Lobom, a Philanthropist Legendary of British Era is no More.

Aalo 29th Oct:- Taken Pakam Lobom, a Philanthropist legendary of 19th century born during British era is no more and left for heavenly abode on 26th Oct last at Aalo in west Siang District. His mortal remain was laid to rest at his native village Logum jini amid tearful mourners and well wishers with full traditional rites on 28th October. He was around 90 years of age. He served Logum Jini village as HGB for many years and volunteered as one of the leaders of Siang valley Bachao Committee.
He was the batch of first ever Panchayati Raj member in Arunachal Pradesh and a legend of age old traditional local judicial Arbitration keba. He was a peace lover and always used to be messenger of peace, communal harmony and whenever any communal problem arose, he always stood as peace messenger. He was felicitated by then DC, Shri S.D. Vaidya and issued a Certificate of Appreciation in the year 2004 during communal tension that broke out between two communities in West Siang.
In the year 1984 he was awarded Special GB certificate by the then D.C. B.C. Bharati for rendering long years of meritoriously services as the HGB of the district. He served logum Jini village as a HGB for many years and volunteered himself as one of the leaders of Siang valley Bachao Committee.
He was one of the legendary leader of Aalo Bungo/AANAM Bango Wefare Society, the founder President of Lobom Welfare Society, founder Chairman of Pedong Kenbo Welfare society and served the people of the district in many ways.
