Aalo 12th Nov:- The Lower Primary School Wak in Aalo West is celebrating its Golden Jubilee year with fanfare and pomp on 11th 14th Nov..
Attending the occasion as the Chief Guest on the inaugural Day on 11th Nov., Lekang MLA Smti Jummum Ete Deori said it always gives a special feeling to see a school complete ting 50 years of arduous journey as a temple of primary learning. She lauded the teachers, villagers, students of yesteryears who had immensely contributed the growth of the school from a humble beginning to its present form.
Shri Topin Ete, General Secretary JDU and Smti Hengam Ete Bagra headmistress who attended the momentous occasion as the Guest of Honour and Special Guest respectively said that this primary school has one of the oldest school to cater the primary educational of Pobdi Ete Bango and it is essential for the alumni of the school, teachers manning it now, School Management Committee and public to see it blossom further in the days to come. The living legend Shri Boken Ete, Ex. MLA and a pioneer of education in Wset Siang district also gave congratulatory message to the people of Bene-Wak for a grand celebration. The Organizing Secretary of the Golden Jubilee Shri Kido Ete spelt out the growth and development of the school since its inception.
The School is organizing various games and sports, literary and felicitation vents to mark the great moment.
