West Siang Launches Sustainable Agriculture Practices on 150th Birth Anniversary of Gandhiji.

Aalo 3rd October: – Commemorating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Agriculture Department West Siang launched ”Sustainable Agriculture Practices” at office Deputy Director of Agriculture, Aalo on 2nd October last.
Speaking on the occasion, C.Chuku ADC West Siang district advised the farmers to reap the benefits of the various ongoing schemes of agriculture department. He also stressed on the need for adoption of modern technologies of farming for boosting the farm production and productivities. Earlier, Sri Margi Ete Deputy Director Agriculture highlighted the activities under Sustainable Agricultural Practices. The DDA had also sought the cooperation of farmers for successful implementation of the schemes at field level. Kirmar Lona, District Horticulture Officer also asked the farmers to avail the benefits of farmer oriented programs being sponsored by the agriculture and horticulture department. The officers from both agriculture and horticulture department, Henbom Dirchi, Nyage Loya, Yompe Ado and Jarny Yomcha were also present on the occasion.
